Complete the shape recipe before improving the stones
Magic Stones unlock at 20 Specialization Points. Their combination effect comes from having the required shapes—not from arranging prettier or higher-quality stones.

What you need to know
There are six shape categories. Each shape has three runes, and each rune has three levels with stronger attribute bonuses at higher levels.
A combination checks its required shapes. Order, rune pattern and quality cannot replace a missing shape.
After a potential is activated, only one Magic Stone with the same name can be socketed at the same time.
Make the change with a plan
Finish the class-appropriate combination first. Then improve complete 30-point or 10-point stat thresholds, potential effects and finally stone quality.
Don’t burn resources by accident
Do not add a candidate stone on top of the current build when comparing it. It must replace one socketed stone while preserving the active recipe.
